fata, v. (að) 1) = feta; allsvaldandi guðleiddi nú sem fyrr þoku yfir þann veg,sem hann fór ok hans menn, þó svá,at þeir fötuðu vel veg sínn &c. Bp.I, 2911. 2) ? verði þat eigi sem meðmállausum fingrum fatat á dauðra kvi-kvenda skinnum, heldr lífliga fastsettmeð mannligri mynd í mínum skírumiðrum, eigi fyrir dauðligan þenna, heldrfyrir enn helga anda Post. 8579.
