andfœtingr, m. 1) Person, som har Fød-derne vendte i en Retning, som er mod-sat den rette eller almindelige; antipodeseru þar (í Libia) ok, hverja er nök-kurir menn kalla andfœtinga; þeimhorfa fœtrnir ok ristrnar á bak aptr okhafa 8 tær á hvárum fœti Stj. 94;liggr hinn fjórði heimsins partr okhalfa til suðrs öðrum megin hins meiraúthafsins, í hverri er heiðnir mennsögðu, ok þó með falsi ok hégóma, atþar bygði andfœtingar Stj. 99. 2) Anti-poder, Mennesker, som opholde sig paa deindbyrdes modsatte Sider af Jordklo-den; á sólna koma flestir nytjom, okþó ero ræntir aðrir andfœtingar hen-nar ljósi þá er aðrir hafa Homil. 1212.
