ásjón eller ásýn, f. 1) Anskuelse, Betragt-ning, Bedømmelse; þegar guð sér slíkamisdœming gjörva með úráði af rangriásýn. Kgs. 77. 2) Udseende, Skikkelse,= ásjá 1. Kgs. 11314; guðs hold okblóð - - í ásýn brauðs ok víns Stat.2996. 3) = lat. persona; engi er virðandiásjón manna í dómum Hom. 3817. 4) Paaskud, Udseende, som man giveren Sag for derved at skjule dens virke-lige Beskaffenhed, = ásjóna 3, ásýnd;undir þeirri ásýn sem hann vildi spa-cera Mar. 3129.
