Völsungr konungr létgera höll eina ágæta ok með þeimhætti, at ein eik mikil stóð í höllinniok limar trésins með fögrum blómumstóðu út um ræfr hallarinnar en leggr-inn stóð niðr í jörðina ok kölluðu þeirþat bran stokk (maaske fordi den stodi Nærheden af Arnestedet, jvf gd. bran-sten i Sk.
