(dd) 1) = brodda, stikke (med broddr); fig. plage, Str. 2534. 2) for-syne med broddar; aka jó óbryddumá ísi hálom Hm. 89. 3) fremstikke,fremdrive; figurl. og upers. af þessigjörð herra páfans bryddi (dvs. frem-kom der) svá mikla styrjöld at - Æf.2258. 4) intr. med Spidsen eller Toppenrage eller stikke frem: bryddu upp or(þokunni) kollarnir Sturl. I, 169 &vl10; kom spjótit í augat ok bryddi út(um) hnakkann Sturl. II, 7224.
