dæla, f. 1) Rende til Vands Afledning; fyrr-nefnd hús, sem Viðarr hefir bygt, skulustanda úbrigðiliga sem komin ero, æmeðan þau kunnu vara &c., þó svá,at V. leggi svá sínar dælor millomhúsanna, at skaðalaus ero hennar húsfyrir drops skuld af hans húsum DN.IV, 75114. 2) Rende eller Kar som brugestil Skibs, naar man vil frigjøre Fartøietfra det i samme staaende Vand (jvf sp. dala, fr. dalle Diez3 I, 149 fg).
