fébœtr, f. pl. 1) Pengegodtgjørelse i Alm. ef maðr bœtir kirkjuland, þá skal hannguðs þökk fyrir þat hafa, eigi má hannfébœtr fyrir þat heimta Grg. II, 21723. 2) Pengebøder i Særdeleshed, hvorvedman yder Opreisning for Drab o. desl.og faar tilveiebragt Forlig eller Udso-ning med den, som har Tiltale mod en derfor.
