(G. fengjar) 1) hvad man søger at faa fat paa eller komme i Besiddelseaf (jvf fang 6); ek mun ríða inn meðhlíðinni, vita ef nökkut verði til fengjardvs. om jeg kan komme over noget (dvs.nogen af dem, som jeg vil overfalde), Vígagl. 1635; om Udbytte af Fiskeri o.desl.: halda til fengjar Vígagl. 279;om herfang (jvf fengi): var opt íhernaði - en allmisjafnt varð tilfengjar Flat.
