forsjá eller forsjó, f. 1) Forudvidenhed, at man ser noget forud eller førend detsker; mun hann (nl. Gud) eigi tælast ísínni forsjá Elucid. 14212. 2) Forsig- tighed; þessi ætlan er meirr af kappien forsjá Flat. II, 369: má þat helztfirirskipan heita eða forsjó, er maðrhefir áðr firir hugsat ok með sínumsjalfs vilja kosit Barl. 7117. 3) Omsorg som nogen bærer for Sag eller Person.Flat. II, 7427. 12636; Fm. VII, 13428. 4) Raadighed, Styrelse, Vilje der gjør siggjældende i en eller anden Sag; þat skyldiá hans forsjá dvs. det skulde afhænge af hans Vilje (jvf forráð), Flat.
