fyrirvinnast, v. r. (vannst) opgives, und- lades; om et Forehavende i Talemaadenláta fyrirvinnast dvs. give tabt saaledesat man opgiver sit Forehavende, afstaarderfra: létu þeir þá fyrirvinnast atfœra hann til kirkju, ok dysjuðu hannþar, sem þá var hann kominn Grett.7819; var einn ungr maðr öðrum meginárinnar, sá er hann vildi gjarna sjáok heyra, - en þótt hann hafði eigiskip, lét hann eigi fyrirvinnast né ár-vöxtinn hepta sína ferð Heilag.
