gagntak, n. Rem som paa den anden Side tager mod Sadelgjorden for at denne kan fæstes i samme. Fm. VII, 17025(Fris. 30711 fg); Plur. gagntök dvs. begge de Remmer som forbindes med hinandenunder Hestens Bug for at fastholde Sa-delen i den Stilling, hvori den er lagtpaa Hesten: hvárki mátti þeim haldasöðull né stigreip, eigi brjóstgjörð négagntök, allt brast í sundr Klm. 45810;ístig ok allar gjarðir ok gagntök vóruaf silki, en ístigin sjölf vóru af rauða-gulli ok sylgjurnar Flor. i AnO. 1850s. 783 ; Þ. skerr þá gagntökin okhrindr ofan reiðinginum af hestinumok klyfjunum með Sturl.
