gneypr, adj. 1) heldende, ludende forover (jvf gnúfa, gnúpr); stóð höfuðit gneyptaf bolnum Eb. 45 (8811); sat mjökgneypr dvs. med ludende Hoved, Fm. III,117 &vl 6 (hvor Texten har gnæprjvf Flat. I, 25436). 2) oprørt i Sindet,barsk. Völs. 1743 (= atall Am. 44(46)); Eg. 55 (11522 &vl greypr).
