Bog som bæres, kan bæressaaledes, at man har den hængende omHalsen (jvf Stat. 2428, se under hals 1s. 711 a35); þeir skolu taka kross íhönd sér eða bók þá, er meiri sé enhalsbók, ok nefna vátta o. s. v. Grg. I, 7618; höfðu aptr til konungs hals-bók, er hann hafði átt ok nafn hansvar í Fm. IX, 21921.
