(rð) unddrage sig for eller nølemed at efterkomme noget, hvortil manbliver opfordret, hvorom man bliver an-modet, som man er pligtig til at gjøre (við e-t); ef þeir híra við (nl. at gangaí brott) þá, er rúms er beitt, ok varðarþat 3 marka útlegð Grág. 21218 jvf7225; dreif at kvaðanæfa fjölmenni okfréttu eptir furðandi, hví þetta undrsætti; hinir hírðu við ok sögðust eigivita Heilag.
