hófleysa, f. 1) Mangel paa Maadehold; hann hafði þat kenningarnafn, at hannvar kallaðr Þorgeirr hófleysa, en þatnafn hlaut hann af því, at hann hafðitil alls meira en hann þurfti Flat. II,16132. 2) Tøilesløshed. Stj. 62632. 3) Overdaadighed. Bp. II, 944. 11528.
