holdgan, f. Komme i Kjødet (Guds Søns),lat. incarnatio. Naar Aar regnes abincarnatione domini, skulde dette joegentlig være at forstaa om Kristi Und-fangelse, hvilket ogsaa tildels er Tilfælde,men ofte skal dette ikke forstaaes ander-ledes end a nativitate domini (se IdelerHandbuch der Chronologie II, 328 fg.373); og paa denne Maade er det ogsaaat forstaa, naar der regnes frá holdganvárs herra J. Kr. Fm. I, 10718 (= fráhegatburð várs herra J. Kr. Flat. I,9522); jvf guðhol(d)gan, hingatkvámaguðs, hann lét hingat berast Rimb.495. 6 fg 12 (53. 6. 9).
