hornfinnar, m. pl. et fabelagtigt Folke- slag; er sú þjóð, er hornfinnar heita,þeim er horn niðrbjúgt í enni ok erumannætur Hb. 2912; efter den der over dem givne Beskrivelse synes de falde sammen med Satyri (Isidori Origines11, 3. 21), om hvilke det ogsaa siges, at þeim vex horn í enni Hb. 267; ligesom de maa ansees for at være de samme, somunder Navn af cornuti Finni hensætteset Sted trans Norwegiam ab orientemellem Kyriali et Kveni paa den ene og Bjarmones pna den anden Side Chron. 213 (Monum. Norv. 751).
