hrefi, m. 1) Haandblad (jvf Nr. 3), =greip, hönd 2. Fris. 1212 (Fm. I,16711; jvf Jómsv. 7116. 26; Flat. I, 18414). 2) Haandledet, = ulfliðr; þat högg komá hönd Teiti við hreifann ok var kallatekki mikit sár, en höndin féll síðanaf honum í hreifanum Bp. I, 65829 fgg;skriðnaði hann ok studdi niðr hend-inni; þá hljóp R. at honum ok hjó áhandlegginn við hreifann, svá at ekkihélt nema sinar þær, er géngu af þum-alfingri Sturl. I, 28411. 3) Forlab paaSæl (Sælhund). Eb. 53 (9918); jvf sels-hreifi, sundhreifi.
