hrufa, f. Ujevnhed, især Skurv, Skorpe med derunder værende Vædske paa detmenneskelige Legemes Overflade (jvf hrjúfr, hrýfi); var hún alheil, svá athvergi var sár né hrufa á hennar lík-ama Heilag. I, 226; í millum hæls okhals var hann steyptr einni hrufu, okþar undan féll daunmikit vatn, varmeinit æ því úhœgra -, sem hrýfitvar harðara með orferðinni Bp. II,2327; til þess er rufa er á sári Frost. 4, 126; jvf Bjark. 132; ljósta mundróttinn þik með hrufu Egiptalands(Vulg. percutiat te dominus ulcereAegypti) Stj. 34416 (5 Mos. 28, 27).
