huliðshjalmr, m. eg. Hjelm som gjør denusynlig, der bærer den paa sit Hoved (jvf Dm.3 432; gr. Il. 5,845; Preller gr. Myth.2 I, 622. II, 66;hvormed ogsaa kan sammenholdes gn. huldarhöttr, huldumaðr), men i Almin-delighed betegnes derved ethvert Trold-domsmiddel, som anvendtes til at gjøreen Person usynlig; Gríma hafði brugðithuliðshjalmi yfir hann, svá at mennmáttu ekki sjá hann Fbr. 345 jvf bráhöndum sínum yfir höfuð honum Flat. II, 15027; gerði Eyvindr (kelda) þeimhulizhjalma ok þokumyrkr svá mikit,at konungr ok lið hans skyldi eigimega sjá þá Flat. I, 3777; kerlinghafði ráð fyrir liði þeirra, ok hún hafðihuliðshjalm yfir skipinu meðan þaureru yfir fjörðinn Þorskf. 7228.
