kvennleggr, m. kvindelig Slægtlinje; gafsonum sínum öllum konunganöfn oksetti þat í lögum, at hans ættmennskyldi hverr taka konungdóm eptirannan, en jarldóm sá, er or kvenn-legg væri af hans ætt kominn Flat. I, 4131 (jvf Fris. 5737); þar næst tekrjamskylt af sammœddum systkinumkomit, ok tekr fyrr í karllegg en í kvennlegg Landsl. 5, 7 (8313. 849).
