kverkamein, n. Skade, Lidelse, Sygdom i Halsen eller Struben; tók kverkameinsvá mikit, at víða þrútnaði af höfuðok hals, kverkrnar fúnuðu, ljóp orbæði vágr ok holdfúi sárum þeim, (sem)á gjörðist Bp. I, 18932; Jón - tókkverkamein mikit ok þrútnuðu (nl. kverkrnar) ákafliga svá, at hann máttiöngu bergja ok náliga ekki mæla svá,at heyra mætti Bp. I, 1166 jvf 34719.
