I, 242, Eiríksmál).Ordet, som ikke forekommer andensteds,synes svare til ags. leðrian, som tjener til Oversættelse af Vulg. ungvere Joh. 11, 1, hvor nemlig Ordene Maria autemerat, quæ unxit dominum ungventooversættes ved: Maria uutudlice uæsðio geðuog (= smiride = leðrede) ðonedrihten mið smirinise The Gospel acc.to St. John in Ags. & Northumbr. ver-sions ed. by W.
