liðfœrr, adj. dygtig, brugbar (fœrr) til at optages og gjøre tilbørlig Tjeneste i detMandskab, som skal følge en og yde hamfornøden Hjælp; ef maðr skal flytjahinn dauða, ok hefir hann eigi heima(dvs. i sit eget Hus) yfrit lið til, taki afgrannum sínum -, svá at hann verðrvið fimta mann -, ok hafi þá karl-menn, er hann hafði heima liðfœra,fyrr en hann krefi aðra til Frost. 2,158; bjöggu tvá knörru mikla, ok höfðuá hvárum þrjá tigi manna þeirra, erliðfœrir váru, ok um fram konur okungmenni Eg. 25 (5110); sjau mennskyldu einn gera liðfœran ok gera fyrirhvern, er 5 vetra gamall væri OH. 22711(Flat.
