mikilmenska, f. hvad der gjør nogen til mikilmenni eller viser, at han er det; munu þér nökkura ölmusu vilja geramér fyrir guðs sakir ok yðvarrar mikil-mensku (= þínnar stórmensku Flat.III, 33315) Fm. VI, 23422; hirði eigiyður mikilmenska (dvs. eders Høihed,Majestæt, nl. Nero) at bera þunga afdauða Patrokli Post. 11226; höfðu vérþar (nl. i Hrolf Krakes Hal) hinu sœmi-ligstu sæti, var þar hin mesta mikil-menska á öllu Flat. II, 1376.
