morginsól, f. den om Morgenen tidlig op-stegne Sol; sýndust þeim mjök rauðvötnin, er þeir áttu at sjá í mót morgin-sólinni Stj. 611 &vl 14; víða ljómaðiaf, er morginsólin skein á þau hinuágætu klæði Flat. I, 1227; mun þatsýnast eldrinn, er morginsólin skínn águllit Flat. III, 34120 (Mork. 5731).
