Messe som synges om Natten; náttmessa merkir þá tíð, er kallastfyrir lög, því at þá var eigi lýst misk-unn burðar Krists fyrir aldarfeðrum,svá sem nóttmesso skal syngja fyrirallt dagsljós Hom. 733 fg 7; prestr á eigiat syngja fleiri messor of dag en tvær,hann á enga at syngja náttmesso nemajólanótt ena fyrsto Grág. 255 (Grg.I, 2113).
