(að) nøde, tvinge, = neyðaa) med Akk.: Ó. konungr - nauðgaðimenn til at hverfa aptr til kristniþeirrar, er þeir hafðu niðr kastat OHm.334; þeir skildu en aldrigin nökkoratíund lúka fyrr, en konungrinn nauð-gaði þá þar til DN. I, 12239; eigi komaþeir optarr til vígvallar, nema ofríkinauðgi þá Klm. 29228. b) med Dat.: er þeir hittust, þá nauðgaði hann jarlitil at taka trú Flat.
