(dd) sige nei til noget (kveðanei við e-u), vægre sig for at gjøre noget, = níkvæða (med Dat. og Akk.); Vastesdróttning neikvæddi boðorði konungsok kvazk eigi mega ganga frá sínniveizlu Kgs. 989; ér (dvs. þér) neikvæðitsendiferð eina, er hann býðr yðr (=þér kveðit nei við sendiför, er hann villsenda yðr Flat. II, 24523). OH. 15513.
