nývirki, n. nylig udført Arbeide, Gjerning; fluttu þeir Þ. líkit upp með ánni okgrófo þat niðr á sandmel þeim, er þarverðr; bjuggu þeir þar um svá, at ekkiskyldi þar á sjá nývirki OH. 22617 (Flat.II, 36914; Heilag. II, 17117); hér vegrhann inn í svá mikit gull ok lýkraptr síðan mjök vandliga stafinn, sváat hvergi sér nývirki á Heilag. II, 1372;hann - steypti sér niðr í golfit, en hús-freyja spyrndi fœti sínum á hlemminn,féll hann síðan aptr í lag, ok sá hverginývirki á golfinu Grett. 20015.
