oddi, m. 1) Sammenstød, Kollision (jvfoddr 1); skerast í odda dvs. komme tileller i Sammenstød: heldr skarst allt íodda með þeim - þat sem við bardvs. hvad der saa forekom, indtraf, saakom det altid til et Sammenstød, en Kollision imellem dem, Fbr. 819; stand-ast í odda d. s.: heldr stóðst allt íodda með þeim - í því, sem við barFlat.
