ofdyri, n. den Del af Døraabningens Ind- fatning, som oventil forbinder begge Dør-stolper (dyristafir) og ligger parallel med Tærskelen, = umdyri (Post. 73839); laug-andi svá ok litandi bæði ofdyrit (Vulg.superliminare) ok báða dyristafina fyrirþeim húsum meðr lambsblóðinu Stj.27931 (2 Mos. 12, 22 fg) jvf Pr. 778; núef hann tekr eina hverja þá hurð okfœrir brott, þá -; en ef þar leyprnokot af þreskildi eða ofdyri (&vl upp-dyri) eða gáttartré, þó at ein flís fylgi,þá - Landsl. 7, 105.
