órkynjast, v. r. (að) vanslægte, = órkunn-ast, órkynjazt hefir þú ok afspringiföður þíns með þér Æf. 547; kendistkonungrinn við, at hann var lítils háttarmaðr, ok þó nökkut mentr, ok mæltivið þjónostumenn sína: gefum þeimnökkut af gózi váru, því at hann ór-kynjast eigi Æf. 5519.
