penni, m. 1) Pen, Skrivepen (jvf lat. penna);þótt verða mætti, at öll höfin ok renn-andi vötn í heiminum snerist í blekkok allr skógr veraldarinnar í penna, enöll jörðin í bókfell, yrði aldri fyrirblekkskorti, penna ok bókfellis fullu-liga skrifat, hversu - Mar. 5601 fg;penna digran hefir hann (nL. fjándinní apa mynd) í klónni hœgri ok skrifarí fasta fari Mar. 1767; sama kynfylgjasýndist beggja þeirra verk dikt eðapenni Post. 49835; eigi fær ek þat af-sannat -, at þessi penni er samlíkrmínni hendi Post. 5008; þó at vérkomimst hvárki só viðr (nL. at skrifaL. 6), né megim með blekki ok pennatala sem vér skyldim DN.
