reipa, v. (að) 1) fæste, støtte ved Anven- delse af reip; var reipat tréit (nl. siglu-tréit dvs. Masten) á skipinu ok borinnreiði á skip Fm. IX, 480 &vl. 15 (Icel.sag. II, 1934 fg). 2) reipast við e-t dvs.forbinde sig til noget (jvf binda 9); hann- spyrr, hverso mörg skip hann mynifá þér til fararinnar, ef þú reipast viðat fara Fm. XI, 1134.
