Søm som drives ind i Træet indtil det sidder fast i samme (mods. hnoðsaumr dvs. Klinksøm); saumþarft þú ok mikinn á skip at hafa meðþér svá stóran, sem því skipi hœfir,er þá hefir þú, hvárttveggja reksaumok hnoðsaum Kgs. 825; konungr fékkok reksaum í hvert halfrými ok baðþá varðveita, er þar bygðu, ok takatil, er þeir þyrfti Fm. VIII, 1999; tókuþá reksauminn - ok festu svarðlykkjurallt innan í borðunum, setti þar í stuðlaok festu þar við víggyrðlana Fm. VIII,2163.
