ruglan, f. Forstyrrelse, Forvirring, Vaklen o. s. v.; í hinum neðra part hefir þat(nl. loptit) marga ruglan af vindum okvætum, þokum ok reiðarþrumum o. s. v. Stj. 1328; reinn ok skærr skilningr útan alla ruglan ok háreysti ok tungnannaymisleik er meðr guði feðr svá sem tal ok tungna grein Stj. 435; hann trúði eigi svá fulluliga, sem hann skyldi, afþeirri ruglan ok hræzlu, sem hann hafði fengit (lat. ex perturbatione nondumplene credens domino Hist. schol. 5917) Stj. 12225.
