rúmsnara, f. Rendeløkke, Rendesnare (renne-lykkja Aasen 597b15); ganga (þeir) núat tjaldinu ok gera rúmsnöru á streng-inn ok hafa við spjótsköftin ok fœra áveðrvitann, er upp var af stönginni álandtjaldi konungsins Flat. II, 1299 fg;kristnir menn reisa upp fjóra stauramjök háfa en reka rúmsnöru at fótumguðanna ok draga þá stundum upp enláta stundum detta langt niðr Klm.16137; er guðin váru komin í þeirravald, vurðu þær glaðar ok -, tókusíðan sín leggjabönd ok brugðu samangerandi rúmsnöru á endunum ok knýttuum hals guðunum, drógu eptir þat umberg ok um hamra ok um síðir í sínarbúðir Klm. 1735; gjörir hann svá ráðfyrir, at ráfrit af kofa Petri sé upptekit ok digrt reip til uppdráttar niðrdregit; getr Petr þat gjarna at rekarúmsnöru at fótum kerlingar, at húnmegi úti verða Mar. 51331 jvf 11.
