IV, 121); ef menn gera öl okkalla sáluöl, þá skolo þeir til bjóðapresti þeim, er þeir kaupa tíðir at;hann skal honum bjóða við þriðja mannhit fæsta Gul. 2335. Af de der brugte Udtryk ser det ud, som at erfiöl fik Navnaf sáluöl, naar Præsten dertil blev ind- buden, og af Landsl. 5, 252 som at det blev kaldt saaledes fordi det holdtes til sálubótar við þann, er fram er farinn.Jvf. sálabað.
