skattland, n. Land som betaler Skat til udenlandsk Fyrste eller Rige; konungi(nl. Svíakonungi) hugnaði stórílla viðÓlaf digra þat, er hann hafði setst ískattlönd hans en rekit í burtu Sveinjarl Flat. II, 4730; á því méli var Ey-mundr í Hólmgarði ok vann aptr mikitskattland undir konungum Ingv. 3 (AR.II, 145a17); især om de Lande, som laaudenfor selve Norge, men dog hørte til Norges Vælde: Fm. IX, 26313 fg; þá ersynir Haralds deildu um ríki í Noregi,þá var lítt sét eptir um skattlönd þau,er fjarri lágu Eg. 73 (17424).
