Øiekast (jvf sjón 1); rekaskygnur dvs. se sig om: eptir þat rekrhann upp skygnurnar ok sér, at Háv-arðr hefir fellt annan þeirra, er hannátti við Háv. 4813; hann hafði í hendistaf ok brodd í; hafði síða hettunaok rak undan skygnur, stappaði niðrstafnum ok fór heldr bjúgr Band. 1612;reka skygnur á e-t dvs. kaste Øinene paanoget: H. rak þá skygnur á landit, okvar augnalag hans ekki gótt Laxd. 37(10028); svá vakir hann ok bíðr þjófa,at hann sitr í stiginu ofarliga ok hefirbrugðit sax í hendi þar til, er þeirkoma útan at ok gægjast í gluggann;reka skygnur fast, hvárt þar sé flikkitÆf. 90214.
