slájárn, n. Stangjern, Jernstang, = járn-slá; lét konungr taka hvannjóla trumbuok setja í munn honum, en sumir mennsegja, at konungr léti setja lúðr sínní munn Rauð ok bera þar í orminn;síðan lét hann bera at útan slájárn(&vl járnslá) glóanda, hröktist þá ormr-inn undan járninu o. s. v. Fm. II, 17911;halfa aðra vett (dvs. vætt) járns af slá-járni Dn. II, 448. Jvf. Stj. 4527 under slá (f.).
