slitri, n. hvad der er sønderrevet; leggrnú (húsbóndinn) hendr á hana ok rífrniðr af henni þau slitri, sem hón stendrí (= lat. laceram illam vestem quamgerebat Clar. 37 cap. 19 L. 3), enklæðir hana í staðinn tiguligum bún-ingi Clar. 2272 &vl 20; nú tekr hanní verðit eitt herfiligt striga slitri (=lat. saccum vilem et laceratum Clar.35 cap. 17 L. 28) ok kastar því tilhennar ok segir henni þetta hellzstigótt at hylja sik í Clar. 1963 &vl 34;Glámr - þreif í feldinn stundarfast;Grettir spyrndi í stokkinn - kiptu núí sundr feldinum í millum sín; Glámrleit á slitrit, er hann hélt á Grett. 8411;jvf feldarslitri, sauðarslitri.
