smíðarkaup, n. Betaling som en Haand- værker faar for sit Arbeide, Arbeidsløn;því næst fór á lopt hamarrinn Mjöllnir;galt þá smíðarkaupit ok eigi sól oktungl SE. I, 13622; um skipgerð oksmíðarkaup Landsl. 3, 2 Overskrift; ersilfrit kom fram á alþingi, þá réðumenn þat af, at fá smiða til at skírasilfrit; síðan var gerr af feldardálkr,en þar af var greitt smíðarkaupit;þá stóð dálkrinn 50 marka Hkr. 12319;sýndist öðrum mönnum tillög veramikil til kirkjugjörðar at hverjum mis-serum bæði í viðarföngum ok smíða-kaupum ok mannhöfnum þeim, er þarfylgðu Bp.
