(pt) 1) hvesse, gjøre skarp (jvfsnarpr 1); verðr þeim (nl. vinnumönn-um) heitt, ok beiðir hvíldar, setjastniðr ok snerpa öxar sínar; lítr þá einnþeirra, at lyngormr hrökkvist á gras-inu upp á stofninn hjá honum; hannslœmir til öxinni ok sníðr orminn mið-jan, brýnir síðan sem áðr ok gleymir,hvat hann hafði gert, ok sakir þess atvatn er fjarri, snerpir hann eggvölinnsem verða kann meðr tungu sínni -Bp.
