sniðill, m. krumt Skjærejern af lignende Form som sigð, men dog som det synesforskjelligt derfra; allr eykja reiði ok3 sniðlar firir halft annat kýrlag, itemí nöfrum, öxum ok sigðum - fyrir 3kýrlag DN. I, 32125; B. seldi honumsniðil í hönd ok bað hann höggva uppþyrni í stað þeim Heilag. I, 1634. 20625;ef þar (nl. í almenningi) er akr ok engok garði um lokit, þá á hann svá langtfrá garði, sem hann má kasta sniðlisínum Gul. 1454; jvf sniðilvarp RA.6043.
