Ring som lá á stalli íhverju höfuðhofi, og som Goden skuldemedtage paa Tinget, dyppe i det Offer-dyrs Blod, som han der slagtede, for der-paa at lade hver, som havde Sag at føre,aflægge Ed ved den paa at han skulde gaa redelig tilværks (Flat. I, 24914 fg;Eb. 4 (615 fg); kom þat högg í stalla-hringinn ok tók hann mjök svá í sundr,en Snorri varð eigi sárr Eb. 44 (831);vann þá Sveinungr eið at stallahring,ok tveir menn með honum Dpl. 1612;Eb. 16 (1919).
