Stød, Anfald som Fartøi paa Søen modtager af Bølgerne eller Sø-gangen eller andet desl.; þegar sempiltrinn hafði tekit eitt kaf af þeimfyrsta steyt, er honum varpaði, skauthonum hátt upp ór sjónum Thom. 49534;hafbylgja gékk geisandi sem fjall væri-, hón horfði á þvert skipit ok ógnaðihræðiligan steyt Bp. II, 5021; einn ormrmeð 12 lykkjum flotnaði upp ór sjánumok lá optsinnis um þveran váginn, enleyndist stundum í kafi, ok kom þáupp, er verst gegndi mönnum ok skip-um, þvíat inn á váginn var gótt lægi;fékk því margr hér fyrir úhagligansteyt Bp.
