stórhlutr, m. betydelig Ting; fátt mun þat,bróðir, at eigi mun framganga, ef þérvilit fylgja, svá marga stórhluti semþér hafit vunnit Fm. VII, 1364; eigiskal hann interdicere eða bansetjalærða eða leikmenn, þar sem nökkutrugll eða skömm megi af standa, eðaaðra þvílíka stórluti gera DN. III,3924; skolu eigi vitni bera einkannligaí stórlutum þat, sem skilríki tekrgóðra manna millum Rb. 56 (NL. III,100 &vl 34).
