styrkt, f. 1) Styrkelse, hvorved en gjøres stærk; þat (at drekka mjolk) er sárummönnum gótt til styrktar Flat. II, 36516. 2) Kraft, Styrke; i aandelig Bet.: fjórirhornstafar merkja fjóra höfuðkostu, þáer enar sterksto stuðir ero annarragóðra verka, þat er vizka, réttlæti,styrkt ok hófsemi Hom. 13427; hvat erþeirri styrkt betra en stíga yfir djöfulok allar hans teygingar ok standa sterk-liga allar meingerðir heimsins fyrir guðsnamni Hom. 5710. 3) Hjælp, Under- støttelse, = styrkr 4; þar bar S. uppfirir þá konungana ráðagerð Ólafsmágs síns ok biðr þá styrktar bæði atliði ok ráðum - Flat. II, 379; vil ekgefa þér menn þá - þér til styrktarok fylgðar Eb. 25 (4031).
